Long Beach, CA – October 20, 2006 – Food Finders would like to invite residents and neighboring friends of the City of Long Beach to its "Cops and Robbers" Masquerade Ball that includes hors d’oeuvres, a silent auction, dinner, and dancing at the Museum of Latin American Art on Saturday, November 4^th, 2006. Registration begins at 5:30 p.m. Wear your favorite super hero costume. Our locally famous Long Beach police band, Blue Steel Rocks, will perform. Tickets are $75 per person or $125/couple. Food Finders, a nonprofit provider of food to those in need in Los Angeles and Orange counties, was founded in April 1989. Founder, Arlene Mercer, believed that there was a need in the community for hungry people to be fed and for food resources to be used and not wasted. Food Finder’s motto is "food through love." Food Finder’s founder, staff, and volunteers believe that "things work out when there is love," and Food Finders is proof of that.
